about
Here's a little tune about wanting a grand finale at the end of a relationship's downfall. I started writing this towards the end of a relationship with someone who happened to bleach her hair right as things started going downhill. I had this nostalgia for how the relationship used to feel, and all those images in my head of happier times included a version of us that looked different, her hair darker and mine shorter. You know what's funny tho? Her natural hair was totally brown dude! It was fully the same color as my hair. But she called it dirty blonde, and we're letting her have this one haha. Anyways, now you have some lore.
I've been having a ton of fun playing this one live lately. It starts out feeling like ur classic Copeland James folky vibes and then gets so big and fun (you can thank Patsy Long for that production). I wrote the chorus of this one back in 2020, right before COVID hit, and co-wrote the rest of it with amazing artists Purser and Patsy Long last September. People always compliment the line "a full full of grace" and I have to hand it to Purser for that one. :) I was a little hesitant about the idea of a co-write going in, but it ended up being so fun and I'm super happy with how this song turned out. Hope you enjoy! <3
